Have you ever lost a pet? What happened?

i remember in childhood days the pet dog of my grand father. the dog was named pugot (ilocano word for ghost). he had long black hair and smaller than most askals. he played with the us (the kids) around the compound and to the fields. he died of old age sometime before i went to high school. we really liked that dog. i just realized that he is the reason why i like dogs but not to get attached to them anymore.
