Liked The Jacky Winter Group on Instagram: "Guy Shield started this Grim project, born out of a need to create, hone his animation skills and add humour to a topic that is still fairly taboo in many societies, death. What was the intention of the project? “I wanted to create a reminder (even if just for myself), that there’s still humour to be found. It’s currently at 2.6m likes on TikTok, so it’s definitely found an audience.” Who came up with the scenes? “The project is all me, from conception to production. I love all the various components that come together to bring scenes to life (and death). The sound in particular just seals the deal.” What was your favourite scene to create? “The first scene I did was the tennis scene, so it’s probably my favourite. I found it so satisfying to build that micro world, and then watching people’s reactions and realising its dumb reveal resonated with people’s darker senses of humour was so fulfilling.” Watch this space: “I’d eventually like to create a fully formed show when time allows. I like the idea of Grim being a little imperfect like the rest of us, being fallible and perhaps going through the motions of his job.
