@fredc@mastodon.online I’m still cracking up on that video 🤣 a very brilliant concept. RC Cola has one of the best marketing team here I think. Their previous ads were also just as weird and cool.
@teacherbuknoy@social.antaresph.dev there’s this non-Filipino reactor I saw on those short-form video sites (I forgot which one). Somehow the punch line does not have that much impact if the viewer is unfamiliar with the cultural context and wordplay.
@fredc ohh I can see why. The Sharon joke has multiple layers to it that if you’re not immersed in Pinoy culture, it would be difficult to grasp it, and even if you did understand it, you would probably have a hard time finding it funny.
