Dealing with unpredictable Google Play Store rejections lately? You are not alone.Β Navigating the app review process has always had its challenges, but recent experiences have been particularly frustrating due to a complete lack of actionable feedback. Here is what I have been facing with my latest Android app:Β 1. Vague Rejection Notices: The rejection emails fail to mention any specific policy violations or grounds for the decision, leaving developers completely in the dark. 2. Ghost Testing Issues: Reviewers claimed they couldn't log into the app. To debug this, I added comprehensive logging across every step of the authentication flow and isolated the server endpoint. The result? Both automated and manual internal tests work perfectly with the exact same credentials, and our server logs show zero traffic or login attempts from the review team during their evaluation. Yet, the app was rejected again. 3. Obvious Privacy Policies Flagged: The review team claimed our linked Privacy Policy "is not a privacy policy." This link has been active and unchanged since day one, clearly featuring standard legal sections, headings, and legal statements that any human reviewer should easily recognize. 4. The Appeal Black Hole: Filing an official appeal with clear data and technical proof has led to absolute silence. After waiting over 15 days past the initial confirmation email with no follow-up, I was forced to simply bypass the appeal and resubmit the app entirely. When the feedback loop breaks down like this, it stops being about compliance and becomes a guessing game.Β Has anyone else in the Android dev community run into these ghost login rejections or silent appeals recently? How did you break through the silence?Β #AndroidDev #GooglePlayConsole #MobileAppDevelopment #AppStoreReview #IndieDev
